Regional Government approves new operating regime and fees for Youth Centers

The Regional Government of Madeira has published Ordinance no. 183/2026, which establishes the new operating regime and the fee schedule applicable to the Region's Youth Centers. This measure aims to modernize the management of these infrastructures, which are fundamental for the mobility and non-formal education of young people.

Youth Center Network

The network covers seven facilities distributed throughout the Region:

  • Funchal Youth Center
  • Calheta Youth Center
  • Porto Moniz Youth Center
  • Santana Youth Center
  • Porto Santo Youth Center
  • Pico dos Barcelos Youth Center
  • Montado do Pereiro Youth Center

Main Changes and Fees

The new regime introduces an update to accommodation and space usage fees, differentiated by season (High and Low) and age groups. Youth Card holders benefit from a 20% discount on the listed prices. Furthermore, the diploma defines clear procedures for bookings, cancellations, and exemptions for non-profit entities and projects of youth interest.

The Ordinance enters into force on the business day following its publication, revoking the previous Ordinance no. 178/2018.
