Elsa Veridiana de Freitas Appointed Director of the ISSM, IP-RAM Reception Unit
Strengthening the Directorate of the Social Security Institute of Madeira
The Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labor and Youth announced the appointment of Elsa Veridiana Vieira de Freitas as Director of the Reception Unit of the Social Security Institute of Madeira (ISSM, IP-RAM). The appointment, under a three-year service commission, takes effect on the date of publication of the order.
Elsa Veridiana Vieira de Freitas, a graduate in Social Policy with a specialization in Protection and Social Security and a postgraduate degree in Social Intervention, had already been serving as Director of the Reception Unit on an interim basis since May 2025. Her extensive professional experience includes stints at the Social Action Department of the ISSM, at the Association for the Promotion of Citizenship - Causa Social, and various internships and training in the social area, with a focus on the protection of children and young people.
The position of Director of the Reception Unit is equivalent to an intermediate management position of the 2nd degree, and the appointment comes after a competitive selection procedure that validated the candidate's qualifications and profile to lead this important unit of the ISSM, IP-RAM.
