New Director for the Reception Unit of ISSM, IP-RAM
The Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labor and Youth announced the appointment of Elsa Veridiana Vieira de Freitas, a graduate in Social Policy, to the position of Director of the Reception Unit of the Social Security Institute of Madeira (ISSM, IP-RAM).
The appointment, under a service commission for a period of three years, follows a competitive tender process that evaluated the requirements and profile of the candidates. Elsa Veridiana Vieira de Freitas, a Senior Technician assigned to the staff of ISSM, IP-RAM, demonstrated that she possesses the necessary experience and qualifications for the role, equivalent to a 2nd degree intermediate management position.
With a degree in Social Policy and a postgraduate degree in Social Intervention for Children and Young People at Social Risk, the new director brings extensive professional experience in the social field, including previous roles as Acting Director of the Reception Unit and Senior Technician in the Social Action Department.
The Reception Unit is a fundamental pillar in the structure of ISSM, IP-RAM, as provided in its statutes, and the leadership of Elsa Veridiana Vieira de Freitas will be crucial for the continuity and improvement of services provided to the Madeiran community, especially in supporting children and young people in vulnerable situations.
