Government increases funding for the redevelopment of the Sao Vicente seafront
Through Ordinance no. 168/2026, the Regional Government of Madeira has amended and redistributed the budgetary charges related to the Technical and Financial Cooperation Program Contract signed with the Municipality of Sao Vicente. The objective is to finance the "Redevelopment of the Calhau de Sao Vicente Seafront" project, totaling €3,372,500.00.
The new schedule of charges, which modifies the provisions of Ordinance no. 623/2024, is defined as follows:
- Fiscal year 2024: €0.00
- Fiscal year 2025: €2,461,065.76
- Fiscal year 2026: €911,434.24
The expenditure for the current year is covered by the budget of the Regional Directorate for Budget and Treasury.
