Regional Government supports 10 sports clubs with travel program contracts
The Regional Government Council of Madeira has authorized the signing of sports development program contracts (CPDD) with 10 regional clubs, aiming to co-finance travel and daily allowance costs for sports agents. These grants, essential to mitigate the costs of insularity, cover participation in various national and regional competitions during the 2025/2026 sports season.
Beneficiary clubs and allocated support:
- Clube de Tiro, Caça e Pesca da Madeira: €398.00 (Resolution No. 448/2026) for national hunting weapon shooting championships.
- Clube Desportivo da Escola Francisco Franco: €4,369.84 (Resolution No. 449/2026) for regional futsal competitions.
- Clube Desportivo da Ribeira Brava: €3,231.00 (Resolution No. 450/2026) for regional futsal competitions.
- Clube Desportivo e Cultural de Porto Moniz: €3,090.00 (Resolution No. 451/2026) for regional futsal and national skyrunning championships.
- Clube Desportivo e Recreativo Santanense: €441.84 (Resolution No. 452/2026) for national futsal championships.
- Clube Desportivo Infante D. Henrique - C.D.I: €278.00 (Resolution No. 453/2026) for national skyrunning championships.
- Clube Desportivo “Os Especiais”: €23,257.00 (Resolution No. 454/2026) for various adapted sports, including athletics, boccia, basketball, and futsal.
- Clube Escola da Levada (CEL): €17,277.00 (Resolution No. 455/2026) for the national volleyball championship (women's 2nd Division).
- Clube Naval de São Vicente: €1,390.00 (Resolution No. 456/2026) for national skyrunning championships.
- Clube Palheiro Golfe: €6,834.00 (Resolution No. 457/2026) for regional and national golf championships.
The contracts, approved by the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology, are effective until December 31, 2026, and are funded by the Regional Directorate of Sports budget, under the project for air and sea travel support.
