Regional Government supports travel for five Madeiran sports associations

The Regional Government Council approved, in a plenary session held on April 30, 2026, the signing of sports development program contracts (CPDD) with five regional associations. The objective is to co-finance travel and daily allowance costs for athletes, coaches, officials, and referees, ensuring their participation in national and regional competitions while mitigating costs resulting from insularity.

The beneficiary associations and their respective financial support are as follows:

  • APM - Madeira Petanque Association: Up to €3,579.00 (Resolution no. 418/2026), for national competitions.
  • APMAD - Madeira Padel Association: Up to €11,115.60 (Resolution no. 419/2026), for regional and national competitions.
  • A.R.T.M. - Madeira Regional Triathlon Association: Up to €14,438.00 (Resolution no. 420/2026), for regional and national competitions.
  • Madeira Handball Association: Up to €47,504.00 (Resolution no. 421/2026), for national competitions.
  • Badminton Association of the Autonomous Region of Madeira: Up to €20,141.00 (Resolution no. 422/2026), for national competitions.

These grants, managed by the Regional Directorate of Sports, apply to the 2025/2026 sports season, with contracts effective until December 31, 2026.
