Mobility and Transport Institute takes over integrated ticketing management
Joint Order no. 46/2026, signed by the Regional Secretariats for Finance and for Equipment and Infrastructure, transfers competencies from TIIM - Transportes Integrados e Intermodais da Madeira, S.A. to the Institute for Mobility and Transport, IP-RAM (IMT, IP-RAM).
The new competencies of the IMT, IP-RAM include:
- Commercialization and management of transport tickets;
- Management of bank accounts associated with fare revenue;
- Calculation and distribution of revenue from intermodal tickets;
- Execution of administrative acts necessary for revenue management.
The technical and operational management of ticketing systems (1st line) remains, transitionally, within the scope of TIIM until the conclusion of the transition process provided for in Regional Legislative Decree no. 13/2024/M.
