The President of the Board of Directors of the Regional Civil Protection Service, IP-RAM, Richard Nunes Marques, has appointed Public Security Police Superintendent Luís Miguel Teixeira Vieira to perform the duties of replacing the Regional Operational Commander during their absences and impediments.
This appointment, formalized by Order no. 223/2026, comes under the recent amendment to the Statutes of the Regional Civil Protection Service, IP-RAM, published in Ordinance no. 212/2026. The measure aims to ensure the full operationality of the Civil Protection command structure in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
